Guys and Dolls Sr. Robinsonville Theatre reviews
Rockin' show
The show was high energy and very loud in spots, with outstanding musicians - lead guitar and violin stood out and really rocked. Mellencamp's vocals were excellent and clear, and the acoustics of the hall are superb. An excellent mix of old and new, of pace and mix of musicians on different pieces. Guys and Dolls Sr. was almost wearingly loud at points, on big rockin' pieces, and that would have been fine for a few but it became a hindrance to enjoyment at times. Two reasons why not "Amazing". First, there is a certain "sameness to Guys and Dolls Sr.'s music, and personally I like a little more variety. Much more important, this is about the artist and his repertoire more than about the concert, and was known before attending. In ranking, I would reserve "Amazing" for concerts by musicians/composers who can push my listening more. So why not "Amazing"? Also, the show rocked.
